Join us in celebrating Wakehurst Rugby Club’s proud 60-year history at our special 60th Anniversary Dinner on Saturday, 16 August 2025 at Miramare Gardens, Terrey Hills. This evening will honour the extraordinary journey of the Club — from its humble beginnings in 1966 as Belrose Junior Rugby Football Club with just a handful of players, to today’s thriving community hub at Wakehurst Rugby Park.
The story of Wakehurst Rugby Club is one of perseverance, vision, and unmatched volunteer spirit. In the early years, dedicated parents and supporters transformed an overgrown and waterlogged reserve into the exceptional playing fields and clubhouse we enjoy today. Through tireless fundraising, countless working bees, and overcoming many obstacles — from negotiating with Council to battling red tape — these pioneers laid the foundations for what has become one of Sydney’s finest grassroots rugby facilities.
Over six decades, thousands of players, coaches, managers, committee members and supporters have contributed to the Club’s success, ensuring generations of local kids have the opportunity to play the game they love in a safe, welcoming, and community-driven environment.
The dinner follows Back-to-Wakehurst Day at Wakehurst Rugby Park, featuring Colts v Brothers at 14:00 and Subbies v St Ives at 15:15. Doors open at 19:00; function starts at 19:30.
🎟️ Tickets $150 — includes two-course meal, beer, wine, and soft drinks.
